Eyeline Check Point Swing Laser Golf Swing Training Aid

Eyeline Golf Checkpoint Laser Review

Eyeline Golf Checkpoint Laser Review

We always try to review and use all of the products we offer through GolfAnytime. It doesn’t always happen right away for a lot of reasons. We finally had a chance to review one of our best selling products, the Eyeline Golf Checkpoint Laser. This is one of the most searched and sought after training aids in golf, and for good reason. I have been stuck at the high 70’s threshold in golf for years, not knowing that one simple tool could set me on an entirely new path. Here’s what happened after a couple sessions with the Checkpoint Laser.

Are you sure your swing is on plane?

Well, are you? I was sure my swing was on plane. After a couple swing sessions I found that my swing is terribly off plane. While I make it work most rounds and limit my misses to good areas, I am missing something huge, that is consistency. Eyeline Golf will help you deliver just that. I didn’t realize how bad my impact position was, my follow through, my backswing. They were all in terrible positions, over the years I just found ways to make it work. Now with Eyeline Golf I can fix all of that in just 10 minutes a day.

Impact is Everything

If you don’t already know this, impact is everything. That’s why launch monitors are so incredibly accurate. They take a snap shot at impact an do some math and spit out numbers that are extremely accurate. Impact is virtually the only thing that matters. How do we create and maintain perfect impact? One easy way is to use the Eyeline Golf Checkpoint Laser. It will teach you how to consistently strike the ball with delayed impact which will give you consistency and more distance in your golf game. Who doesn’t want more distance and consistency?

Engage your Subconscious

My favorite part about training aids like this is they don’t actually require any swing changes or new thoughts on the golf course. We have enough of that going on. In just 10 minutes a day, you can retrain your muscle memory and subconscious mind to perform the new swing. You just have to do the work consistently to retrain the brain the new habit. This is what you always see pros doing on the driving range when they are over correcting. They are simply trying to retrain the brain the new habit to override their miss. This is what the Eyeline Checkpoint Laser does for you, in just 10 minutes per day.

3 easy steps to building a backyard putting green

The Fantasy backyard putting green

Step 1

The first step is easy but the most important. You need to find an area that is large enough but also flat enough. We recommend no more than a 3% slope on any part of the are where the green will be. This ensures a great surface for putting but also makes it easier to build and so the foundation will stay for years to come.

After you find and measure the perfect area of your backyard for your putting green, its time to find the right backyard putting green kit for you. Simply visit https://golf-anytime.com/products/golf-putting-greens/diy-backyard-putting-greens to find the perfect size and shape putting green for your budget.

If your backyard area isn’t flat enough you may need to use compacted stone and sand to level out a certain area. You will want to make sure this area is well compacted so your green doesn’t move after its built. After this is completed lay out your geo textile fabric (included).

Installation steps for backyard putting green

Step 2

After you have found the perfect area and leveled it out with gravel and sand (if needed), its time to piece together the base (included). Make sure you take a good luck at your layout as the turf will need to be laid out on top of the base. The holes need to be in the correct spots as well as the outer edge.

After all pieces are snapped together it is time to rollout your turf and line up the holes. Once the holes are lined up perfectly you can begin laying out the fringe turf around the inside edge. Fridge turf is also included. Once your fringe turf is laid out its time to staple it in place to be sure it lasts for years to come.

The Oasis Backyard Putting Green

Step 3

Once the fringe is laid out and stapled in place, its time to install the cups and flags and start working on your putting! Now that you have your own Backyard putting green you can practice GolfAnytime!

How to Pick the Right Golf Simulator Projector

How to Pick the Right Golf Simulator Projector

You don’t know how many questions come along with building a golf simulator, until you decide to build a golf simulator. That’s why GolfAnytime is here for you! We will help guide you along any part of your Golf Simulator Project. Whether it is the final stages of a DIY project or if you are looking for an all included package, GolfAnytime is here to help.

Choosing the right Simulator Projector for your specific project can be tricky. It’s important to weigh your options so you stay on budget, while also getting the picture quality right for your setup. Our guide will help answer all of the questions you may have while choosing a Golf Simulator Projector.

Key Features for Golf Simulator Projector

  • Lumens (3,000 or higher)
  • Throw Ratio
  • Aspect Ratio &  Resolution
  • HDMI Connectivity

Deciding on the correct Lumens for your specific Simulator set up is paramount. Typically the darker the area is going to be the less Lumens you will need. Even for a dark set up I would not go any lower than 3,000 lumens and if it won’t kill your budget I would start at 3,500 Lumens. If you have a brighter room for your set up you will want to go as high in Lumens as your budget can spare. Think about trying to see your phone screen on a sunny day, even with the brightness cranked up sometimes it can be hard.

Throw Ratio

The Throw is the distance between the projector and the screen. We recommend a short throw or an ultra short throw to help avoid shadows on the screen. If your projector is too far from the screen shadows will become an issue.

Throw ratio equals throw distance/ screen width. Getting the perfect projection is all about throw ratio, we recommend using a calculator to make sure the image quality is perfect for you specific set up. Here is a link for our favorite throw ratio calculator. https://www.projectorcentral.com/projection-calculator-pro.cfm

Aspect Ratio & Resolution

In short, Aspect Ratio is the shape of the projection. Is your more square like a 10’x10′? Or is it rectangular with wide image like a 16’x10′? This will make all the difference when choosing the correct projector.

Aspect Ratio Options

4:3 Aspect Ratio

  • Square Image
  • Lower Resolution
  • Lower Cost

16:9 Aspect Ratio

  • Rectangular Image
  • Higher Resolution
  • Higher Cost

16:10 Aspect Ratio

  • Rectangular Image
  • Highest Resolution
  • Highest Cost

HDMI Capability

When it comes to projecting a proper image, HDMI capability is a must. While a lot of projectors can work for a golf simulator set up, the ones that will work the best have HDMI connectivity. Most launch monitors have this HDMI port to connect to a projector, and this is the best way to get a clear image, so make sure this is an option before you choose the right projector for your specific set up.

From  to deciding on the best launch monitor, GolfAnytime makes building your own golf simulator easy. Follow our Golf Simulator Buyers Guide and get your project right the first time!

Table of Contents:

  1. Questions you need to answer
  2. Pick Your Space
  3. Hitting Net or Golf Impact Screen
  4. Which Hitting Mat?
  5. How to pick the right Launch Monitor

Questions to answer

It is difficult to understand how many questions need to be answered when you begin building your very own golf simulator. Every project will be different, but here are some of the big questions that many golfers forget to ask at the beginning. These questions will save you a lot of time and money.

  1. What is my budget

This one seems obvious but without actually taking the time to determine this it can end up costing you a lot of extra money if you don’t write out a clear budget. GolfAnytime has golf simulator packages that can fit any size and budget, whether you are building your own or buying a package, we can fit any size budget. We even have a golf simulator package for under $1000!! The Optishot 2 Golf simulator package includes everything you need to get started on your indoor golf journey.

Of course there are also many of you who are looking for a more full size Golf simulator that includes everything you could possibly need. TruGolf Simulator packages are the best option for you. The Vista Series are all included packages that have every single component you could possibly need. Starting at $10,495 they are a great value for someone who is serious about their indoor golf.

A lot of golfers are also starting to look at DIY options. This is a great option and can actually save you a lot of money. One of the greatest parts to going this route is you don’t have to spend $5,000 or $10,000 up front. You can take your time and build your package as you go. Starting with a golf net package and slowly adding components over time helps to build a quality indoor golf simulator for a lower price.

If you are looking to go this route we recommend starting with a quality golf net and mat package that you can add a simulator screen to later. The Net Return Pro is a great place to start because you can add all the necessary components over time.  We also have similar options like the Cimarron 10′ x 10′ x 10′ golf net which an impact screen can be added to later.

No matter what your budget is GolfAnytime has an option for you!

2. Is this a temporary or permanent location?

Some golfers will have the luxury of building a golf simulator in a dedicated space. For the rest of us we have to consider that ability to easily move this damn thing. One of the most popular spaces for a golf simulator is a garage or pull barn of some sort. There tends to be more free space and higher ceilings.

3. What Equipment do you need?

This is a pretty simple questions that most golfers forget to ask themselves. Do I need every single piece of equipment right now? Or can I just start with the basics? Here is a list of the possible equipment you will need to complete your Golf Simulator Project.

  1. Golf Mat
  2. Golf Net or Golf Impact Screen
  3. Computer or tablet
  4. Landing pad (Depending on the type of flooring you have)
  5. Launch Monitor with simulation capability
  6. Golf Simulator Software
  7. Projector (not required)
  8. Projector Mount or Projector floor mount
  9. TV (if not using a projector)

Pick your Space

Ceiling Height

Our Golf Simulator Buyers Guide will help you get this right the first time!

This part is crucial to getting an indoor golf simulator correct the first time. Of course the size required will vary for different golfers. Also, keep in mind that even if you have enough space on paper, you need to feel comfortable swinging a driver.

Typically 9′ ceilings are enough room but there are some variables here. Taller golfers will most likely need a 10′ ceiling to comfortably swing every club in their bag. Also you need to think about the thickness of your golf mat. This may not seem like much but the average golf mat adds about 3/4″ off the ground with TruGolf golf mats adding more like 4″. This can make or break your golf simulator setup. So make sure you test out the height with something similar in height to the golf mat you plan to purchase.

Room Width

The room width is often over looked and people assume there will be more than enough room. Here are some things you need to consider. First, will there be any lefty golfers visiting my space? Is there enough room for a righty and a lefty?

Also, there are a lot of components with certain golf simulators, such as, TVs and projector mounts, computers, technology stands, etc. You will also need room for golf clubs which can take up quite a bit of space with a foursome. We recommend a space at least 12′ wide to account for all of these extras.

Room Depth

Room Depth can vary widely so this one will be up to the package and or components you choose. TruGolf simulator packages require at least 20′ of depth, while a DIY golf simulator can be done with as little as 10′ depth. We recommend more like 12′ to give you a buffer for all of the unexpected components and room for golfers and bags.

Hitting Net or Impact Screen

While many of our packages do come with a projector and golf impact screen, it is not required. Many golfers are setting up starter golf simulators with just a hitting net and a tv to display images. This is a cheaper way to get started as you can cut a lot of the components that can cost thousands of dollars.

Depending on which route you go there are easy ways to add a impact screen to your golf net at a later time. This way you can slowly build and it doesn’t hurt the budget.

If you do decide you want the projector you will need to decide where and how to mount it. Or you can do a floor mount and get a protective case for it. This route is much easier and cost effective to set up.

Which Hitting Mat?

Choosing a hitting mat is one of the more important parts of building a DIY golf simulator. There are a few things you need to think about.

  1. Is the mat I chose big enough for the ball to land on?
  2. Does the golf mat allow a spot for a tee or can it accept a tee?
  3. High or low Density?
1. Is the mat I chose big enough for the ball to land on?

The ball is going to land somewhere, is that area protected? Golf balls landing on wood floor over time can be pretty annoying as well as cause damage. Make sure your landing area is protected

2. Does the golf mat allow a spot for a tee or can it accept a tee?

This is pretty simple, how are you going to tee up the driver? Most mats have a spot for a rubber tee to be added. We actually recommend a high density mat as a regular tee can be used. High density mats also allow the club to strike through the ball as opposed to bouncing off of a low density turf.

3. High or Low Density?

We recommend a High density golf mat or one that has an are where you can place a tee easily. The tee line golf mat is our favorite high density golf mat and can accept a tee. Also is much easier on the hands and wrists. There are also some mats that include a strip for each such as the Ultimate Golf Mat. This golf mat has a low density area, a rough area, and a tee area.

How to pick the right launch monitor

There are many factors that go into choosing the right launch monitor. Do you want it to track ball data and club data? For example Optishot 2 only tracks club data (not as accurate), some of the more expensive models track both ball and club data.

This is possibly the most important question on a DIY indoor golf package. If you are planning on buying one of our packages like Optishot 2 or TruGolf this component is included. If you are building your own you will want to read this.

There are now more options available at a lower cost than ever before. Here are a few

ES 20/20

The ES 20/20 Tracks 22 data points and has full simulation

ES Tour Plus

The ES Tour Plus tracks 20 data points for less than $5,000!

There are other options out there available, make sure to do your research before choosing the right launch monitor for you.

Cimarron Super Swing Golf Net

Best Golf Nets 2020 | Make 2021 Your best Ball Striking Year

Best Golf Nets 2020

This has hands down been the craziest year of my lifetime, I’d imagine most of you can say the same. However, it doesn’t have to be all bad news. There’s plenty of great things going on in the world today too. It all depends on which side you choose to focus your attention on. For example, you can choose to follow the mainstream medias story line, or you can read about the best golf nets available in 2020. I’m glad you chose this instead. This is a step in the right direction to improving your ball striking. I know everyone wants to improve their ball striking, at least the people reading this article. How do we do that?

The answer is always time. We have to set aside time to make the change. It never has to be hours a day, in fact in 10 minutes a day you can fix your ball striking. All it takes is a quality golf net that you consistently use. The key is the consistently use part, you have to put in the time. I can show you the best nets available and have them at your door in a matter of days, but the results come from putting in the time. Here are two of our favorite brands.

The Net Return Golf Nets

The Net Return has been at the top of Tour Pro’s list and top Amateurs for years and it’s easy to see why. You can get way more practice in with less time because the ball is returned to you every time. It makes practice sessions way easier, fun, and much more efficient. This makes your ten minute practice session more than enough. Plus, all of their golf nets come with a 250,000 shot guarantee, the longest in the golf world. It’s no wonder why they have been voted Best Golf Net by so many Pros and Amateurs. Here are some of their most popular products.  The Net Return Pro Series was even voted the best golf net by MyGolf Spy in their article of best golf nets for 2020.

Cimarron Golf Nets

Our 2nd favorite brand is Cimarron Sports. Not only do they make extremely durable golf nets, they also make nets for many other sports, like The Net Return. Cimarron nets feature a 2″ steel frame that is sure to last for years. They have sizes and price ranges that start at $199 all the way up to around $1000 for the serious golfers. One of my favorite things about the Masters golf nets is the all come with a fairly large baffle that is so thick it is sure to last for years. These nets are also huge! They start at 7′ high by 11′ wide and go up to 9′ high and 12′ wide.

They are sure to catch any mis hits with their wide range.

"Let's Do This" At-Home Putting Green

Best At-Home Putting Greens 2020 | No More 3 Putts!!

Best At-Home Putting Greens 2020

Welcome to GolfAnytime’s list of best At-Home Putting Greens for 2020. Here are some of the factors we took into account. First, how true it rolls compared to a normal putting surface. Second, It’s ability to help golfers actually putt better. Third, Cost in relation to other putting greens.

Quality, Quality, Quality

We have all been fooled by a cheap putting green. You know, the ones that aren’t thick enough to actually lay out over carpet and wrinkle up in the matter of weeks. This list of indoor putting greens are ones you can use for years, not months and will actually improve your putting. When it comes to putting greens with the best roll, two names come to mind. Tour Links, and Big Moss. These are the leaders in at home indoor putting greens, which is why we offer them here. Yes, there are a ton of putting green options out there but these two have really stood the test of time.

Big Moss was the first putting green manufacturer to actually change the shape of their greens to something much more realistic looking, feeling, and rolling. Tour Links is one of the only green manufacturers built on a platform to ensure it can be used on any surface. Both offer the truest rolling indoor putting greens you will find on the market today.

Train anytime with At-Home Putting Greens

One of the things that set these manufacturers apart is they started with the golfer in mind. They have tools that actually help golfers become better putters. Take the “Let’s Do This” putting green for example. This green is specifically designed to help you hit straight putts. As you probably have heard me talk about before, the ability to hit a dead straight putt is often the most overlooked skill in Golf. Great putters treat every putt like a dead straight putt and then let gravity bring the ball to the hole. That’s what the strings included with the “Let’s Do This” help you accomplish. It teaches you exactly how to square up to your line and you can see exactly how long your putt stays on its intended line.

Tour Links has also mastered this concept with their 13 foot Indoor Putting Green that is made to help with alignment. They also have a cheaper 9 Foot putting green for those with a smaller budget and space. Both come with all the tools necessary to make sure you are hitting a dead straight putt, every time.

Both of these manufacturers have taken the time to think of every detail when it comes to putting. Both include the strings needed so you can actually square up and watch your putt stay on line the entire way. They also both include break pads if you want to add a trickier putt to really hone in your putting skills.

All about the Dollars

Lastly, of course cost is always part of our decision. The “Let’s Do This” putting green retails at $239 with free shipping. Which makes it an incredible value for a true rolling putting green that can actually shave you strokes. The Tour Links models are slightly more expensive but for good reason. They are built on a 2″ platform that allows you to putt anywhere, anytime. They also feature cups that drop in just like you’re on the course, all from the comfort of your own home.

Of course these putting greens can be used indoors and outdoors which also gives them a leg up on a lot of the cheaper putting greens available today.

No More 3 Putts!

I don’t know about you but I think a 3 putt is the most frustrating thing in golf. I’m all done with them. I know that personally improving my putting could save me at least 3-4 shots a round and I’m a scratch golfer. The easiest way to improve is to practice at home. In as little as 10 minutes a day you can improve every aspect of your putting. 2021 is the year of “No More 3 Putts.” For a special offer for our readers for a limited time you can get a FREE Eyeline Putting Mirror with purchase of any putting green valued at $199 or more. This package will allow anyone to fix their putting from the comfort of their own home.

Offseason Training Guide | Golf Practice Nets | Training Aids & more

Everyone wants to hit the ball more consistently, hit more fairways and greens, and score lower. What’s holding us back? I think for many golfers its not knowing what a proper strike looks or feels like. Even the ones that do often struggle to fix their ball striking for the long term. Why? Golfers are often practicing the wrong things and going back into old habits that feel comfortable. Here is how to correct that. This post is going to show you how adding a golf practice net can drastically lower scores in just 10 minutes per day.

Impact is everything

Yup, thats right, impact is everything. In fact, some would argue its the only thing that really matters. How do we retrain ourselves to impact the ball correctly? If you have been following my work you know how deeply I believe in engaging your subconscious mind. What the F*** does that mean? Your subconscious is the deepest part of you and is responsible for many of your unconscious habits, including your habits on the golf course.

Okay, whats your point? My point is that in order to fix your ball striking you have to MASSIVELY override the behavior that isnt working for you. If you are coming over the top you need to practice dropping the club into the slot position without hitting a ball. Literally rehearse this one move over and over and I would say exaggerate the correct move.  Products like the Eyeline Checkpoint Laser help you do this with ease.

The simple addition of adding an indoor or outdoor golf practice net to your home can really help hammer in these new impact habits. If you ever watch pros at the range you kinda get what im saying. They tend to over correct their errors by drilling in the correct habit. Now I know none of us have hours a day to do this, but in as little as 10 minutes a day this can have a huge impact on your golf game.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Of course you don’t have enough time to practice, we live in America. There are one million things to do on all our lists and our faced paced society reminds us of even more things we need to add to that list. Fuck all that, you need to narrow your focus on the things that really matter to you. Stop running around in a hundred different directions all day.

When I say practice, practice, practice it doesn’t mean you need an hour a day or more. The important part of practice is consistency. That’s how we engage the subconscious and create the new behavior. I’ll be honest, I never thought practicing at home would ever translate to the course, but I’ve been practicing what I preach a few years now and have seen MASSIVE RESULTS.

It’s because I know how to engage the subconscious, It’s the habit mind and to override it you have to stop the old behavior and practice the new one. Just 10 minutes a day can get you some serious results.

At Home Practice Net

I never thought hitting balls into a net would be impactful or translate to any real results on the course. Boy, was I wrong. The first year I got my practice golf net for home I dropped 3 strokes and am now a scratch handicap golfer. You see, there is knowing where your ball went by watching its flight, and then there’s knowing where your ball went by feel. When you start to feel what would happen with each swing you become much more engaged and are able to correct the mis hits.

Also, hitting golf balls into a practice net can also help you practice certain weaknesses in your swing, also engaging the subconscious. Say at impact your face is slightly open and hands behind the ball, you can intentionally practice and fix this mistake in as little as ten minutes per day. For most golfers correcting impact could save them ten shots or more!

Important Steps To Know In Order To Better Your Chipping Skills

Important Steps To Know In Order To Better Your Chipping Skills

One of the most common mistake the amateur golfers make is that they assume chipping, which is one of the most important aspects of the game, is easy to master. They make this assumption on the fact that chip shot does not call for many steps to the swing mechanics. Firstly, it is important to keep in mind that for chip shot, you do not need exceptional physical ability. Secondly, the more time you spend practicing, especially on a golf course simulator, the more experience you will get and eventually become better at the chip shot.
